Abstract
En vue d'alimenter notre réflexion sur les enjeux sociaux de la politique des garderies québécoises, nous présentons, dans cet article, le contexte dans lequel est née cette politique, le type d'élaboration de cette politique au cours de la dernière décennie et les luttes qui ont été menées à divers niveaux en rapport avec cette politique. Nous verrons, à travers ces indices, que la politique des garderies québécoises, telle que réclamée par les groupes populaires durant les années "70", cache des enjeux économiques fondamentaux dans la mesure où elle remet en question les fondements mêmes de notre société québécoise capitaliste en instaurant un nouveau mode de reproduction sociale des enfants.
