Abstract
Damaris Rose is an urban and social geographer specializing in the study of housing issues and neighbourhood change in major cities. She is a Full Professor at the Urbanisation Culture Societe research centre of the Institut national de la recherche scientifique (Quebec’s National Institute for Scientific Research). The INRS is a university research and graduate teaching institution affiliated to the University of Quebec network (www.ucs.inrs.ca.). She teaches graduate courses in urban social policy and qualitative research methods. She is coordinator of the “Housing, Neighbourhood and Urban Environment” research domain of the Centre Metropolis du Quebec – Immigration et Metropoles, which is one of the five Canadian research centres of the Metropolis Projet (www.metropolis.net).
