<titre>R&#233;sum&#233;</titre> Avant les ann&#233;es 1980, peu d&#8217;information qualitative sur les femmes et leur usage de drogues &#233;tait disponible. Lorsque les femmes &#233;taient prises en compte dans des recherches, elles &#233;taient repr&#233;sent&#233;es comme &#233;tant de m&#339;urs plus faciles, plus immorales, plus pathologiques et plus criminelles que les hommes. En Am&#233;rique du Nord, depuis les ann&#233;es 1980, la guerre contre les drogues et celle contre l&#8217;avortement et les droits des femmes en mati&#232;re de reproduc~tion se sont rejointes. Apr&#232;s un bref historique sur la fa&#231;on dont les femmes usag&#232;res de drogues &#233;taient trait&#233;es dans le pass&#233;, cet article propose un &#233;tat des lieux des lois et r&#232;glementations les concernant dans le contexte actuel de la guerre aux drogues.
