Abstract
La réforme curriculaire mise en oeuvre dans les écoles primaires au Québec préconisait l’utilisation de nouvelles démarches pédagogiques, dont, entre autres, la pédagogie par projet, et a occasionné des changements importants dans la structure et l’organisation des tâches dans les établissements scolaires. Afin d’examiner le processus d’appropriation et les responsabilités respectives dans la mise en pratique de la pédagogie par projet, nous avons entrepris une démarche de recherche qualitative, descriptive et exploratoire. Nous avons privilégié l’approche de l’étude de cas dans cinq écoles primaires de l’Outaouais. Les résultats mettent en évidence que, dans la mise en oeuvre de la pédagogie par projet, la plus grande responsabilité a été confiée aux enseignants, qui, sans être nécessairement formés, ont dû composer avec plusieurs nouvelles exigences. L’appropriation de cette démarche pédagogique aurait nécessité un partage réfléchi des responsabilités et le développement d’une réelle structure de collaboration.
