Abstract
O autor, atraves de exemplos clinicos e da literatura, demonstra como a sexualidade edipica primaria esta na genese dos transtornos psicoticos e borderlines, determinando uma resistencia a qualquer tratamento. Essa resistencia se deve ao poder desses transtornos de disfarcar seu fundamento edipico e de impedir, nao so seu curso ou realizacao, mas a sua representacao. A solucao edipica pressupoe um luto com uma primeira versao, que ele chama protomelancolica, em que o objeto perdido ainda nao e uma sombra, mas permanece confundido com sua figura viva. Nesses casos esse objeto toma posse do eu e ordena seu autossacrificio. A dificuldade de tratar esses pacientes se deve a emergencia necessaria, na transferencia, dessa fase protomelancolica da fantasia, que ameaca romper a alteridade do vinculo relacional criado entre o paciente e o terapeuta. O fascinio aterrorizante exercido pelo objeto morto anula a qualidade analitica do analista, neutraliza sua capacidade de continencia, faz dele uma figura ameacadora (AU)
