Abstract
En este artículo se reflexiona el camino de un investigador como análisis de un recorrido y de un resultado, articulando una ruta crítica con diversos fenómenos tales como: el papel cambiante del Estado en la construcción de las ciencias sociales; o viceversa, el papel de las ciencias sociales en la construcción del Estado desde los años 1970s, en América del Norte, específicamente Canadá y la provincia de Quebec. Se trata de un tiempo excepcional para entender el fenómeno de interacción entre el Estado y las ciencias sociales. En Quebec se observaron, de manera concentrada, fenómenos que nos ayudan a explicación la formación de una sociedad "moderna". El artículo se funda en varias décadas de práctica de investigación y busca clarificar cuál es el papel de un científico social en un determinado entorno institucional nacional.
