Abstract
O artigo apresenta uma problematização sobre a relação Estado - Igreja na Argentina no período da Ditadura Militar, após alguma indefinição sobre qual postura tomar em relação as propostas do Concilio Vaticano II, o clero ‘progressista’ cedeu espaço para uma Igreja determinada a implementar reformas ‘moderadas’ e encarar os projetos do Estado como assunto da Igreja por temer os avanços socialistas em marcha naquele contexto. O fio condutor deste artigo para demonstrar esta postura assumida é o recente julgamento do padre Von Wernich.
