Señor Richard Déry Escuela de Altos Estudios Comerciales (HEC) Montreal (Quebec) 7 de junio de 1993 Estimado Richard:Cuando amablemente me animaste a participar en esta importante reunión en París y me sugeriste de reflexionar sobre lo que está en juego en el plano epistemológico en el campo de la gestión, pensé que, al obligarme a precisar mis posiciones actuales, me llevarías a tratar de comprender la evolución que ha tenido la administración de empresas a lo largo de los últimos treinta años ya recordar mi propio itinerario. Hoy, tengo la Íntima convicción que vivimos otra época determinante de la historia de la humanidad y que es indispensable, si queremos evitar un verdadero desmoronamiento de la sociedad occidental, que quienes están implicados en el campo de la gestión, sea a nivel práctico o teórico, deben operar de urgencia una revolución mental muy dolorosa. En efecto, de ahora en adelante tendrán que dar mayor importancia a las preocupaciones ontológicas y a las consideraciones morales que a las cuestiones epistemológicas praxeológicas que todavía acaparan lo esencial de su atención y dc las cuales apenas comenzamos a evaluar mejor sus efectos funestos sobre la sociedad, sobre la empresa y sobre la vida de cada uno.
