Abstract
Resume Objectif : La documentation scientifique contient beaucoup de donnees sur la description et les retombees de l’activite du pharmacien. Nous nous sommes interesses aux preuves de l’activite pharmaceutique publiees par des pharmaciens quebecois. Description de la problematique : A notre connaissance, aucun pharmacien quebecois n’a encore publie de recueil des travaux de recherche evaluative portant sur la description et les retombees de l’activite pharmaceutique. Discussion : Nous avons realise une revue documentaire retrospective. Notre recherche nous a permis de recenser un total de 192 articles publies du 1er janvier 2002 au 25 septembre 2013. Notre recension met en evidence un nombre croissant d’articles indexes au cours des dernieres annees, avec une augmentation du nombre d’articles portant respectivement, par ordre decroissant, sur la description et les retombees de l’activite pharmaceutique dans les services, sur les soins, sur la gestion, sur l’enseignement et, enfin, sur la recherche pharmaceutique. Conclusion : Cette revue retrospective met en evidence 192 articles publies qui traitent de la description et des retombees de l’activite pharmaceutique de pharmaciens quebecois de 2002 a 2013. Une meilleure connaissance et diffusion de ces donnees probantes peut aider les decideurs et les cliniciens a optimiser les services et les soins pharmaceutiques. Abstract Introduction: There is a vast quantity of data in the scientific literature describing pharmacists’ activities and the impact of these activities. We examined the evidence of pharmaceutical activity published by Quebec pharmacists. Description of the problem: To our knowledge, there is no compilation of evaluative research published by Quebec pharmacists on the description or impact of pharmaceutical activity. Discussion: We conducted a retrospective literature review. Our search identified a total of 192 articles published from January 1, 2002, to September 25, 2013. Our inventory revealed an increasing number of indexed articles over the past few years, and we noted more articles providing a description or discussing the impact of pharmaceutical activity in the area of services, followed by care, then management, teaching, and pharmaceutical research. Conclusion: This retrospective review covers 192 published articles providing a description or discussing the impact of the pharmaceutical activity of Quebec pharmacists from 2002 to 2013. A better knowledge and better dissemination of this evidence could help decision-makers and clinicians optimize pharmaceutical services and care.
