Community Driven Development in Bangladesh: Factors Behind the Reality

Abstract
Community driven development (CDD) is a widely used word in development discussions in the third world countries. Community participation in development planning, implementation and also in the befit sharing is like foundation stone for CDD. This paper is an attempt to address those factors in the context of Bangladesh. Here in this paper secondary source of information from recent publications, journals, books, research reports and articles of newspapers and internet have taken into consideration. There are also some case studies ( primary data) used to reflect on real life experiences at community level. Bangladesh with an ever increasing population has always depended on different actors like NGOs, Community Based Organization (CBOs) to work alongside with the government. It has been proved in many cases that community involved in planning and implementation process made significant changes in community development. There are also several factors both at the demand and supply side that contributes to CDD. La participation communautaire a la planification du developpement, la mise en œuvre et aussi dans le partage conviennent a la premiere pierre pour la CDD. Ce 1 document est une tentative pour repondre a ces facteurs dans le contexte du Bangladesh. Ici, dans cette source d'alimentation papier secondaire des informations tirees de publications recentes, revues, livres, rapports de recherche et d'articles de journaux et d'Internet ont pris en consideration. Il ya aussi quelques etudes de cas (donnees primaires) utilise pour reflechir sur des experiences reelles au niveau communautaire. Bangladesh avec une population sans cesse croissante a toujours dependu des differents acteurs comme les ONG, l'Organisation communautaire (CBO), de travailler aux cotes du gouvernement. Il a ete prouve dans de nombreux cas que la communaute impliques dans la planification et le processus de mise en œuvre apporte des changements importants dans le developpement communautaire. Il ya egalement plusieurs facteurs a la fois au cote de la demande et l'offre qui contribue au CDD.
