Abstract

Esses pesquisadores fizeram um RCT centralizadoduplo-cego quecomparouumasoluc¸ao isotonica(150mEq/Lou, basicamente, uma soluc¸ao de NaCl a 0,9%) com umasoluc¸ao hipotonica de 30 mEq/L (NaCl a 0,2%) em crianc¸assubmetidas a apendicectomia do momento da internac¸aoate 48 horas apos a operac¸ao, devido a preocupac¸ao deque as crianc¸as submetidas a cirurgia se encontre em riscoespecifico de hiponatremia hospitalar. Com 50 pacientesincluidos no protocolo (23 e 27 em cada grupo, respec-tivamente), nao encontraram diferenc¸a estatisticamentesignificativa no sodio serico entre os dois grupos nas 24ou 48 horas. Tambem nao observaram diferenc¸a nos resul-tados secundarios de hipervolemia nem outros disturbios
