Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

We report on a search for charged massive resonances decaying to top ($t$) and bottom ($b$) quarks in the full data set of proton-antiproton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s}=1.96\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{TeV}$ collected by the CDF II detector at the Tevatron, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $9.5\text{ }\text{ }{\mathrm{fb}}^{\ensuremath{-}1}$. No significant excess above the standard model background prediction is observed. We set 95% Bayesian credibility mass-dependent upper limits on the heavy charged-particle production cross section times branching ratio to $tb$. Using a standard model extension with a ${W}^{\ensuremath{'}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}tb$ and left-right-symmetric couplings as a benchmark model, we constrain the ${W}^{\ensuremath{'}}$ mass and couplings in the $300--900\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{GeV}/{c}^{2}$ range. The limits presented here are the most stringent for a charged resonance with mass in the range $300--600\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{GeV}/{c}^{2}$ decaying to top and bottom quarks.

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
