Abstract
Le traitement documentaire, qui permet le repérage des documents et l’exploitation optimale des collections, comprend trois opérations effectuées conformément aux normes internationales : la description bibliographique, l’indexation et la classification. La Direction du traitement documentaire de la collection patrimoniale assure aussi la production de la Bibliographie du Québec, le contrôle des autorités et la mise en oeuvre du programme de catalogage avant publication.
