Abstract
Nous avons cherché à décrire, à partir d'un choix de situations vécues à l'école, un aspect des changements survenus dans la société crie depuis la signature de la Convention de la Baie James et du Nord québécois (1975). L'analyse des cas présentés laisse entrevoir un certain éclatement des valeurs et des attitudes face à l'école. Il semble possible de dégager au moins trois types de parents, auxquels correspondent des rapports différenciés à l'institution scolaire. Plus implicitement, ces données lèvent aussi le voile sur les difficultés rencontrées par les intervenants (enseignants ou administrateurs, autochtones ou non) qui s'efforcent de répondre aux besoins de tous les élèves.
