Abstract
Résumé Disposant d’un héritage familial précaire, certains jeunes développent dans la rue des pratiques de socialisation qui s’articulent autour d’un imaginaire de socialisation indépendant de l’aide des adultes. Une recherche menée auprès de jeunes sortis de la rue à Montréal indique toutefois que ces derniers jouent un rôle important dans le double passage de ces jeunes à la « normalité » et à l’âge adulte. Si elle peut prendre des voies très diverses, parfois ambiguës, la demande de reconnaissance adressée par ces jeunes aux adultes revêt toujours une cohérence liée à leur héritage parental.
