Les auteures présentent une analyse critique des différentes sources de données recueillies de façon ponctuelle ou régulière par Statistique Canada, et qui, directement ou indirectement, sont susceptibles de jeter un éclairage pertinent sur les transformations contemporaines du travail féminin. Au préalable, elles exposent dans leurs grandes lignes les préoccupations théoriques qui inspirent leur démarche.
