U rovinjskome podmorju zastupljeni su u uravnoteženome omjeru različiti tipovi amfora iz cijeloga razdoblja rimske vlasti na Jadranu, od ranoga II.st.pr.Kr. do kasnog V. st.Pojedini tipovi amfora analizirani su prema podrijetlu, vremenu uporabe i sadržaju te su razmotrene neke činjenice o političko-ekonomskoj uvjetovanosti prometa na sjevernome Jadranu u antici.
