Les analyses concernant l’evolution du travail social au Quebec suggerent a l’auteur trois questions relatives a la forme institutionnelle la mieux adaptee pour permettre aux intervenants sociaux d’etre le plus proche des evolutions de la societe ; a la place des usagers dans les differentes formes communautaires ; a la productivite de l’intervention sociale. Est abordee l’idee d’une cesure eventuelle entre l’intervention qui vise a l’amelioration presente du vivre ensemble et celle qui se donne pour objectif une emancipation future.
