Abstract
L’auteure se propose de circonscrire les modalités de représentations de l’enfance et de l’adolescence qui sont à l’oeuvre dans la version illustrée de L’enfant dans le miroir. Les mots-images qui découlent de la collaboration entre Nelly Arcan, écrivaine, et Pascale Bourguignon, illustratrice, mettent au jour le thème de la latence de l’abus parental et les risques des déviations incestueuses. Ils montrent aussi la manière dont le désir narcissique des parents transforme l’enfant en objet de convoitise. En outre, la perméabilité entre le texte et les images donne lieu à une esthétique de la transmutation, où les fantasmes et les fantômes qui peuplent à la fois le monde des adultes et celui de l’enfant parviennent à cohabiter dans un espace de non-collision.
