Abstract
Au cabaret de l’Écluse, lieu de sociabilité et de distraction né sur la rive gauche de la Seine à Paris, au lendemain de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, le spectacle discontinu et ses numéros variés, qui affichent une insignifiante légèreté, ne semblent guère s’offrir comme espace de symbolisation du social. Pourtant, la socialité du spectacle de cabaret apparaît dès lors que l’on envisage la configuration même de la représentation, agencement modulable de productions artistiques hétérogènes. C’est aux résonances, qui apparaissent d’une création à l’autre, que revient alors la possibilité de faire advenir un discours social, en relation étroite mais toujours oblique avec les deux grandes crises sociopolitiques des années 1960, la guerre d’Algérie et les révoltes de Mai 1968.
