Abstract
Cet article se penche sur le personnage intersexué dans trois œuvres littéraires contemporaines ( La tête en bas , de Noëlle Châtelet [Paris : Seuil, 2002] ; Middlesex , de Jeffrey Eugenides [Paris : L’Olivier, 2003] ; et Le saut de l’ange , de Maud Marin [Paris : Fixot, 1987]). On s’intéresse à ce que ces œuvres « disent » sur l’intersexualité, depuis une perspective sociosémiotique englobant, de façon synthétique, aussi bien le paratexte, l’écriture, que le réel représenté. Si deux de ces textes présentent l’intersexualité comme une condition honteuse ou malheureuse, un autre la dédramatise, la posant comme un possible identitaire parmi d’autres dans la multitude.
