Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

In this paper, we propose a queue growth rate based explicit rate (QGER) feedback flow control algorithm for ABR flow control in ATM networks. The novel characteristics in QGER are: (1) considering the link input rate and queue growth rate simultaneously to determine the traffic load, the congestion status and the fair share of available bandwidth; (2) monitoring the link input rate at the egress of the switch output queue; and (3) introducing a parameter, which is linked to the measurement interval, the round trip time, and the number of active ABR connections, to calculate and allocate the available bandwidth proportionally and fairly to the active ABR connections. Simulation results demonstrate that the network performance is improved significantly and the proposed QGER algorithm is efficient, robust, and simple. The paper gives an introduction, describes the QGER algorithm, presents some simulation results, and finally draws some conclusions.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
