L’offre muséale à destination des adolescents se développe le plus souvent dans un cadre scolaire ou périscolaire. Or, une enquête réalisée à Paris auprès d’adolescents très familiers ou peu familiers des musées (à l’intérieur du Centre Pompidou et à l’extérieur, dans le quartier des Halles) met en lumière deux rapports à la pratique de visite du musée, selon que celle-ci s’intègre au cercle familial et amical ou seulement au contexte scolaire, questionnant alors la construction du lien et l’attachement à la pratique. Des dispositifs de médiation intégrant les spécificités des cultures adolescentes révèlent la possibilité que cette pratique s’inscrive dans l’agenda des loisirs adolescents.
