Solubility: >100 g/100 mL DCM (25 °C); >20 g/100 mL acetone (25 °C); >50 g/100 mL MeCN (25 °C); >87 g/100 mL DMF (25 °C); >67 g/100 mL DMSO (25 °C). Insol in Et2O, hexane, and toluene. Preparative Methods: the reagent is prepared in two steps from (3-bromophenyl)(diphenyl)phosphine. Handling, Storage, and Precautions: no special techniques are required for handling. Refrigeration is recommended for long-term storage. Thermogravimetric experiment shows decomposition of the reagent at 360 °C.1
