Abstract
En ce qui concerne les mesures de soutien au revenu des populations défavorisées en Europe, l'analyse comparative des situations locales a l'avantage de mettre en évidence la diversité et la complexité des processus à l'œuvre et des configurations locales, qu'il s'agisse des agencements et des rapports entre institutions publiques, structures intermédiaires, Église, famille, communauté locale, etc. ; ou des formes et niveaux d'intervention de ces multiples acteurs et des principes engagés ; ou encore des interactions entre les personnes et les institutions. Le défi de l'intégration sociale pousse tous les pays à intervenir davantage, mais aussi à établir de nouveaux rapports et de nouveaux équilibres entre les actions publiques institutionnalisées et bureaucratiques et des formes plus souples et plus informelles de régulation du lien social.
