Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Abstract To identify genetic variants that contribute to colorectal cancer (CRC) susceptibility, we performed a meta-analysis of two genome-wide association studies in 2,627 cases and 3,797 controls of Japanese ancestry and 1,894 cases and 4,703 controls of African ancestry, followed by a replication of genome-wide statistically significant associations (P < 5E-8) in 16,823 cases and 18,211 controls of European ancestry. This study revealed a new pan-ethnic CRC risk locus at 10q25 (rs12241008, intronic to VTI1A; P=1.5E-9), providing additional insight into the etiology of CRC and highlighting the value of association mapping in diverse populations. Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
