Abstract
Il y a plus de dix ans que dure la polémique entourant Internet : les pessimistes, d'un côté, maintiennent que son usage étendu contribue à détruire le tissu social, tandis que les optimistes, de l'autre, l'associent au progrès social et à un avenir meilleur. L'objectif de cette recherche n'est pas tant de confirmer ou de réfuter l'une ou l'autre de ces logiques discursives, mais bien d'observer s'il existe, dans les faits, un lien entre l'usage d'Internet et les relations interpersonnelles. Plus particulièrement, nous voulons vérifier si plus on recourt à Internet plus on s'isole ou, au contraire, plus on entretient des communications en nombre, en fréquence et en profondeur.
