Abstract
Ce propos tente de situer le parcours personnel et professionnel de Mathilde du Ranquet en articulant les deux dimensions pour en montrer la cohérence. Ce long trajet dans le monde du service social la conduira de la France au Canada et elle fera de nombreux allers et retours. Sa quête personnelle de méthode de travail et d’évaluation des résultats la conduira peu à peu à trouver des enseignements dans les pratiques canadiennes, à les formaliser dans une démarche cohérente qui rapprochera la relation professionnelle (à travers la question de la supervision) de la relation pédagogique et d’une vision de la relation d’encadrement. L’adaptation à la réalité française sera longue et conduira progressivement à une réflexion sur les pratiques de formation notamment celles de superviseur et de cadres du travail social.
