Abstract
Éclairée par une anthropologie situant les échanges humains dans le cycle donner-recevoir-rendre, l’article met en lumière les enjeux éthiques et psychosociaux de la réception de l’aide dans le mouvement associatif des Alcooliques anonymes (AA). Dans un premier temps, l’accent est mis sur le moment central du recevoir, les risques inhérents à cette étape du don de même que les principaux enjeux éthiques qui y sont rattachés. Après avoir présenté ce cadre théorique, la méthodologie de la recherche ainsi que les données sur les difficultés des membres AA à recevoir de l’aide. Enfin, cet écrit propose des points de repère pour l’intervention. Ceux-ci peuvent en effet aider les intervenants à mieux saisir les enjeux et les drames pouvant se jouer à cette étape cruciale du cycle du don.
