Mener une réflexion sur l’intervention destinée aux familles en difficulté est un enjeu d’actualité dans un contexte québécois, où la prévalence de la maltraitance et de la précarité des familles n’est plus à démontrer. À travers une étude qualitative, 12 entretiens de recherche individuels et 2 groupes centrés ont été réalisés auprès d’intervenants psychosociaux du milieu communautaire, œuvrant auprès de jeunes parents en difficulté. L’un des principaux défis, soulevés par cette clientèle, renvoie aux mouvements d’investissement paradoxaux de ces jeunes parents, dans leurs liens aux intervenants et à leur enfant. Cette conflictualité relationnelle ferait écho à des expériences potentiellement traumatiques, vécues précocement, ayant des répercussions aujourd’hui dans les aléas de l’intervention et le risque de maltraitance. Entendre autrement cette souffrance, trop souvent muette, ferait place à d’autres possibilités pour l’intervention.
