Abstract
Cette étude procède à une « autre » lecture du texte africain; en l’occurrence celui de Sylvie Kandé, auteur deLagon, lagunes, tableau de mémoire,paru chez Gallimard en 2000. En effet, comme la plupart des écrivains antillais et africains francophones contemporains, Sylvie Kandé semble cultiver et pérenniser une éthique de la création, dont les modalités se résument essentiellement en « passage » et « traversée », c’est-à-dire déconstruction, puis (ré)construction des normes traditionnelles de l’écriture, ainsi que celles de l’ordre établi du monde. Plus précisément,Lagon, lagunespossède la particularité de transcender les contraintes des genres littéraires, de s’affranchir des exigences de la notion de « frontière » ou de « limite » qu’elle abolit en la convertissant en « hors-limite ». Enfin, en tant que « tableau de mémoire »,Lagon,(le titre de l’oeuvre est bienLagon, lagunes) Lagunes représente le monde en les rassemblant dans une même trame diégétique, les périodes charnières africaines, antillais et européennes.
