Située dans le quatorzième arrondissement parisien, l’église Notre-Dame-du-Travail réunit plusieurs caractéristiques des rares églises construites au tournant des XIXe et XXe siècles : une architecture innovante déployant une vaste charpente métallique apparente et un décor conçu en rapport étroit avec celle-ci. L’inventaire réalisé entre octobre et décembre 2007 permet de s’interroger sur le champ de l’inventaire dans de tels édifices, mais éclaire surtout un pan méconnu du catholicisme social.
