Abstract
Depuis quelques années, le Québec a pris conscience d’une difficulté majeure : maintenir sa vocation de pays d’immigration et articuler les différentes cultures aussi nombreuses que diverses apportées et vécues par ses populations. Par rapport aux services sociaux et de santé, cette difficulté s’exprime en termes de sous-utilisation des ressources officielles, et cela, malgré les réformes et les adaptations subséquentes aux rapports des commissions et des différents comités ad hoc. En donnant la parole aux jeunes de la communauté hindoue de Montréal rencontrés lors d’une recherche-action, les auteurs mettent en exergue l’importance du rôle joué par la culture d’origine de ces jeunes dans leurs stratégies de recherche d’aide, en cas de difficulté.
