Abstract
Résumé La théorie du double comme technique romanesque, le Doppelgànger, s'est concentrée surtout sur les doubles masculins. Trois romans québécois écrits par des femmes - Angéline de Montbrun, de Laure Conan, Le Double Suspect, de Madeleine Monette et Babel, prise deux, de Francine Noël - fournissent des exemples d'un type de double féminin particulier. Il s'agit d'une femme aimée, qui est décédée en laissant un modèle d'écriture que la narratrice-personnage du roman prolonge dans ses propres écrits, au risque de se confondre avec ce double disparu. Dans les trois cas, ce phénomène se distingue du double masculin traditionnel par un rapport de collaboration et de solidarité avec l'autre-moi, qui contraste avec le schéma masculin de la destruction du double en faveur de la préservation du moi unique.
