Abstract
Les conflits mondiaux ont bouleversé l’environnement paysager et architectural des régions rurales du Nord de la France. En ville comme à la campagne, la tabula rasa créée par les bombardements lors de la seconde guerre mondiale a incité urbanistes et architectes, encouragés par les politiques du ministère de la Reconstruction, à mener de nouvelles expérimentations. Village pilote visité et apprécié par Eugène Claudius-Petit dès l’achèvement de sa reconstruction, Siracourt est un exemple de l’application des doctrines modernistes en contexte rural.
