This paper investigates the role of perceived usefulness (PU), perceived ease of use (PEOU) and perceived risk (PR) in social media adoption and use within workspace. The proposed model is tested using data collected from 2,556 social media users at their workplace, from the UK, the US, Canada, India and Australia. Then, the REBUS-PLS method is used to assess the unobserved heterogeneity in partial least squares (PLS) path modeling. REBUS-PLS automatically detects three distinctive groups of social media users. Results indicate that the three factors have a significant impact on social media adoption and use in the global model and all the three detected local models. A post-hoc analysis is conducted, followed by a discussion of implications for research and practice.
