Abstract
L’objectif premier de cette note de recherche est de réfléchir à la relation femmes politiques et médias, telle qu'elle s'est posée dans le contexte du colloque « Femmes politiques et médias », organisé conjointement par le Groupe Femmes, Politique et Démocratie de Québec et le Centre de recherche sur Femmes et politique de l'Université d'Ottawa. Une idée qui a animé les débats veut que les médias ne traiteraient pas les femmes politiques en toute neutralité, voire qu'ils leur réserveraient un traitement sexiste. Si cette proposition se retrouve souvent dans les recherches, elle est loin de faire l'unanimité parmi les journalistes ainsi que les femmes et les hommes politiques. Il faut donc souhaiter que les prochaines années seront fertiles en réflexions sur la relation entre les femmes politiques et les médias, et ce, particulièrement dans un contexte de médiatisation croissante de la vie politique.
