This paper describes five attacks of Kaposi's varicelliform eruption which occurred during a period of 18 months in a woman with Darier's disease. Herpes simplex virus type i was isolated from the lesions in three of the four episodes which were studied in the laboratory and Coxsackievirus type A16 from the remaining attack. It is suggested that Coxsackievirus A16 may be a hitherto overlooked cause of Kaposi's varicelliform eruption.
