Abstract
Après avoir décrit brièvement les principales idées du réformateur Henry George sur les causes de l'accroissement de la pauvreté dans la société industrielle, l'article analyse l'impact de ses idées sur le contexte canadien anglais. Cette influence aurait surtout été marquante à l'intérieur du débat sur les problèmes de la répartition des richesses et aurait joué un rôle déterminant dans le développement de l'Evangélisme social.
