Abstract
Il s’agira ici de penser la place de la musique et de la photographie principalement dans deux recueils : Tombeau de Lou (2000) et Cimetières : la rage muette (1995). Ces poèmes pour les morts se veulent habités par des ritournelles musicales, des clichés photographiques, des images, véritables lieux communs de la mémoire. L’on pourrait dire que chez Desautels la photographie, la musique et la littérature viennent s’entraider, se mêler dans leur désir commun de montrer ce qui ne peut exister que dans l’insistance de plusieurs médias : la disparition. Le livre veut faire voir et faire entendre ce qui s’est englouti dans l’absence. Il cherche à faire apparaître le disparu dans la disparate de ses dispositifs. Il y aurait une esthétique moderne de la prosopopée à l’oeuvre dans ces livres photographiques, ces livres musicaux où parlent et apparaissent les morts.
