Abstract
La thérapie occupationnelle, dans le sens large du terme, est devenue la préoccupation la plus sérieuse à laquelle doivent faire face les hommes d'état du monde entier en ce moment. Dans tous les pays du globe, la propagation du chômage (manque d'occupations) monopolise l'attention des parlements nationaux et des congrès mondiaux. Dans le monde entier, on tente de remédier à l'insatisfaction humaine et aux troubles mentaux en demandant aux gens d'accomplir des tâches quotidiennes pour occuper leur esprit, garder leur corps en santé et leur permettre de trouver un moyen de subsistance (Howland, 1933, p. 4).
