Abstract
We reconstruct the rare decays ${B}^{+}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{K}^{+}{\ensuremath{\mu}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\mu}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$, ${B}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{K}^{*}(892{)}^{0}{\ensuremath{\mu}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\mu}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$, and ${B}_{s}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\phi}(1020){\ensuremath{\mu}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\mu}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ in a data sample corresponding to $4.4\text{ }\text{ }{\mathrm{fb}}^{\ensuremath{-}1}$ collected in $p\overline{p}$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=1.96\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{TeV}$ by the CDF II detector at the Tevatron Collider. Using $121\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}16$ ${B}^{+}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{K}^{+}{\ensuremath{\mu}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\mu}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ and $101\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}12$ ${B}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{K}^{*0}{\ensuremath{\mu}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\mu}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ decays we report the branching ratios. In addition, we report the differential branching ratio and the muon forward-backward asymmetry in the ${B}^{+}$ and ${B}^{0}$ decay modes, and the ${K}^{*0}$ longitudinal polarization fraction in the ${B}^{0}$ decay mode with respect to the squared dimuon mass. These are consistent with the predictions, and most recent determinations from other experiments and of comparable accuracy. We also report the first observation of the ${B}_{s}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\phi}{\ensuremath{\mu}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\mu}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ decay and measure its branching ratio $\mathrm{BR}({B}_{s}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\phi}{\ensuremath{\mu}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\mu}}^{\ensuremath{-}})=[1.44\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.33\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.46]\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}6}$ using $27\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}6$ signal events. This is currently the most rare ${B}_{s}^{0}$ decay observed.
