Résumé La transformation de l’offre de soins aux patients et du réseau de la santé dans son ensemble représente une problématique bien réelle et fort importante pour les gestionnaires et les cliniciens. Dans ce contexte, les technologies de l’information, et plus particulièrement les technologies de pointe, constituent un levier majeur dans la réalisation et la mise en place d’un vrai réseau de soins intégré. Toutefois, pour diverses raisons, l’industrie de la santé accuse un certain retard dans ce domaine et, par conséquent, a été relativement peu touchée par la révolution technologique qui a bouleversé tant de secteurs d’affaires. À travers l’analyse du premier cas d’adoption d’une technologie d’imagerie médicale de pointe au Québec, cette étude vise à comprendre comment les intervenants d’un hôpital s’y sont pris afin d’abaisser, voire d’éliminer, les diverses barrières à l’innovation propres à ce contexte.
