Abstract
Dans cet article, nous nous intéressons au bulletin des écoles comme un révélateur des besoins, des paradoxes, voire des tensions qui caractérisent le développement des systèmes de gestion de la performance publique. Il nous semble que le bulletin des écoles, au-delà de ses aspects éditoriaux et marketing pour l’hebdomadaire qui le publie, soulève plusieurs réflexions sur le rapport des citoyens à l’État et aux services publics qu’il fournit. Les passions que soulève la publication annuelle du bulletin des écoles et les débats qui s’ensuivent s’expliquent sans doute parce qu’il réunit, en un seul exercice, autour d’un enjeu sensible pour la société québécoise, plusieurs exigences de la gestion publique contemporaine.
