Abstract
La reproduction de la vie humaine est considérée ici comme une production sociale, organisée et gérée par les rapports sociaux de sexe. À partir d'une recherche sur les pratiques par lesquelles hommes et femmes se définissent socialement comme parents, dans le cadre de la loi française, les auteures formulent l'hypothèse d'une appropriation des enfants, la décomposent et définissent son rapport théorique à l'appropriation des femmes par les hommes dans les rapports sociaux de sexe. Puis, elles suivent le fil directeur du partage des droits et des devoirs parentaux pour montrer comment, dans l'établissement de la filiation et l'exercice de la parentalité, s'élaborent des processus d'appropriation des enfants par les hommes.
