Abstract
Les Athéniens avaient probablement établi un lien entre le Serment des Éphèbes et le Serment de Platées puisqu'ils ont gravé ces deux textes sur la même stèle. Une étude de leur contexte historique et de l'importance croissante accordée au document écrit durant le IVe siècle à Athènes nous porte à croire que l'origine de ce lien se situe dans leur valeur d'exhortation. Ils s'adressaient en effet aux jeunes Athéniens sur le point d'entrer dans la vie de la polis et d'entreprendre leur service militaire.
