Abstract
Les Inuits du Nunavut et les Acadiens du Nouveau-Brunswick constituent, au Canada, deux minorités ethnolinguistiques c’est-à-dire deux groupes ethnoculturels qui ont pu maintenir leur distinction culturelle et linguistique. Ces deux groupes ont atteint dans les quarante dernières années leur degré d’autonomie structurelle le plus élevé depuis la transformation de leur situation autarcique de départ. Toutefois les dynamiques d’autonomisation qu’ils tentent d’instaurer sont concurrencées par les forces hétéronomisantes, c’est-à-dire externes, de la société majoritaire canadienne et du néo-libéralisme mondialisé. L’analyse scientifique est ici confrontée au problème de zones aveugles, suscitées par l’absence de paradigmes insuffisamment proches de la réalité pour être éclairants, et par l’insuffisance du travail réflexif de la part des scientifiques sur leurs postures épistémologiques.
