Abstract
The Seebeck and Nernst coefficients $S$ and $\ensuremath{\nu}$ of the cuprate superconductor ${\mathrm{YBa}}_{2}{\mathrm{Cu}}_{3}{\mathrm{O}}_{y}$ (YBCO) were measured in a single crystal with doping $p=0.12$ in magnetic fields up to $H=28\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{T}$. Down to $T=9\text{ }\mathrm{K}$, $\ensuremath{\nu}$ becomes independent of field by $H\ensuremath{\simeq}30\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{T}$, showing that superconducting fluctuations have become negligible. In this field-induced normal state, $S/T$ and $\ensuremath{\nu}/T$ are both large and negative in the $T\ensuremath{\rightarrow}0$ limit, with the magnitude and sign of $S/T$ consistent with the small electronlike Fermi surface pocket detected previously by quantum oscillations and the Hall effect. The change of sign in $S(T)$ at $T\ensuremath{\simeq}50\text{ }\mathrm{K}$ is remarkably similar to that observed in ${\mathrm{La}}_{2\ensuremath{-}x}{\mathrm{Ba}}_{x}{\mathrm{CuO}}_{4}$, ${\mathrm{La}}_{2\ensuremath{-}x\ensuremath{-}y}{\mathrm{Nd}}_{y}{\mathrm{Sr}}_{x}{\mathrm{CuO}}_{4}$, and ${\mathrm{La}}_{2\ensuremath{-}x\ensuremath{-}y}{\mathrm{Eu}}_{y}{\mathrm{Sr}}_{x}{\mathrm{CuO}}_{4}$, where it is clearly associated with the onset of stripe order. We propose that a similar density-wave mechanism causes the Fermi surface reconstruction in YBCO.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; both teacher heads agree on what is shown here.
