Abstract
Le fait que papa et maman soient ou non mariés au moment de la naissance du premier enfant a-t-il un effet sur les risques d'éclatement de la famille ? Pour répondre à cette question, nous examinons de quelle manière l'évolution des modes de formation des familles au Québec et ailleurs au Canada influence la probabilité qu'ont les familles dites « intactes » de connaître une rupture, et noustentons de décortiquer les mécanismes associés aux risques différents observés entre types d'union et entre régions de résidence.
