Abstract
L’affiche fait partie des éléments de signalétique langagière les plus visibles dans l’espace urbain, des formes de marquage et d’appropriation de l’espace les plus significatifs. Angers, ville qui se revendique comme modèle de « développement durable » et Timisoara, qui affirme son attractivité économique dans une Roumanie marquée par l’irruption de la publicité et des campagnes électorales dans l’espace public, constituent deux exemples contrastés du point de vue des normes et des réglementations locales. Nous avons observé en périodes électorales la concurrence entre affichage « marchand » et affichage « d’opinion » et relevé quels étaient les espaces les plus disputés. L’affichage électoral apparaît comme un mode d’affirmation identitaire de certains groupes politiques et sociaux qui ciblent certains quartiers de la ville.
